What to Avoid
- Unbranded imports without ETL/UL marking. They may be 30% cheaper, but they're illegal to install in Ontario and your home insurance won't cover a fire.
- Fixtures without IC rating. Nearly impossible to install legally in an insulated Ontario ceiling.
- Non-dimmable fixtures. You'll regret it the first time you want softer light for a movie night.
