What are your business hours?
Our Brampton showroom is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Our online store and customer support are available in English.

Do you sell to the general public or just contractors?
We sell to both! Homeowners can buy directly, while contractors and businesses unlock B2B tier pricing based on their purchase volume.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders?
Yes, we offer automatic contractor tier pricing (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond) based on your trailing-12-month spend. Distributors can also apply for our lowest pricing tiers.
Do you offer trade discounts for electricians?
Yes! Electricians and contractors automatically qualify for our tiered pricing program which provides increasing discounts based on your purchase history.
Do I need to apply to get contractor pricing?
When you create an account, you start at our regular pricing. As your trailing 12-month spend increases, you automatically move up in our discount tiers. No special application is needed for standard contractor tiers.
How do I apply for distributor pricing?
Distributors and resellers looking for our lowest pricing tiers must submit an application. Please contact our wholesale department at info@saferlighting.ca to begin the process.
Do you have active discount codes or promotions?
Our pricing model automatically rewards volume. Every account starts at regular pricing and earns better rates as spend grows. We also occasionally run seasonal promotions advertised on our website.
Do you offer price matching?
We strive to offer the most competitive wholesale prices in Ontario. While we don't have a formal price-match guarantee, we encourage you to speak with our sales team if you are quoting a large project.
Shipping, Pickup & Delivery
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, orders over $1,000 CAD ship for free anywhere across Canada.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes, we offer same-day delivery across much of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for orders placed before our daily cutoff time.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes, free in-store pickup is available at our Brampton showroom (18 Strathearn Ave, Unit 6B) on any order.
How quickly can I pick up my order in-store?
Orders placed for free local pickup are usually ready within 2 hours.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship to both Canada and the US.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to both Canada and the US.
Can I track my order once it ships?
Yes, once your order is processed and shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number to monitor your delivery.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
Because we ship many large or heavy electrical items, we generally require a physical address for delivery and cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
Returns & Policies
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days in original packaging. Email returns@saferlighting.ca with your order number to start a return.
Do you allow customers to request and manage their own returns?
Customers must contact us to request a return. Please email returns@saferlighting.ca with your order number to start a return.
Can I return a product if I opened the box?
Products must be returned in their original, unmodified packaging to be eligible for a refund. Please refer to our full return policy for details.
Do you charge restocking fees for returns?
A restocking fee may apply for large bulk returns or items that are not in pristine condition. Please contact returns@saferlighting.ca for specific details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and offer Net 30 terms for approved business accounts.
Do you offer Net 30 or payment terms?
Net 30 payment terms are available to approved business accounts only. Contact us to review your eligibility.
Do you accept store credit?
No, we do not currently offer or accept store credit.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly. If you need to cancel or modify an order, please call us immediately at (905) 451-5337. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be modified.
What do I do if an item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please take photos of the packaging and the damaged item, and email them to info@saferlighting.ca within 48 hours of delivery so we can arrange a replacement.

What types of lighting do you sell?
We specialize in commercial and residential LED lighting, including panel lights, pot lights, high bays, strip lights, flood lights, wall packs, and a full range of electrical supplies.
Are your LED products certified for use in Canada?
Yes, all our LED fixtures carry ETL or UL certification and are approved for use in Canada under the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. Many commercial fixtures are also DLC listed.
Are your products covered by a warranty?
Yes, most of our LED fixtures come with a manufacturer's warranty ranging from 3 to 5 years. Details are provided on specific product pages.
Are your LED pot lights IC-rated?
Yes, our LED pot lights and slim recessed panels are IC-rated (Insulation Contact), meaning they are safe to install in direct contact with ceiling insulation.
Do you offer LED strip lights in different colors?
Yes, we offer 12V and 24V LED strip lights in various color temperatures (warm white to cool white) as well as RGB color-changing options.
Are your high bay lights suitable for commercial warehouses?
Absolutely. Our LED high bay lights (available in 100W, 150W, and 200W UFO styles) are specifically designed for commercial and industrial warehouse applications.
Can I use your LED flood lights outdoors?
Yes, our LED flood lights and wall packs are wet-location rated and designed specifically for outdoor commercial and residential illumination.
What is the difference between warm white and cool white LEDs?
Warm white (2700K-3000K) provides a cozy, yellowish light ideal for residential spaces. Cool white (4000K-5000K) provides a crisp, bluish-white light ideal for commercial spaces and task lighting.
Do you sell color-selectable (CCT) fixtures?
Yes, many of our LED panels, pot lights, and commercial fixtures feature selectable color temperatures (CCT) allowing you to choose between warm, neutral, or cool white during installation.
How long do your LED lights last?
Most of our commercial-grade LED fixtures are rated for 50,000 hours of use or more, which translates to over a decade of reliable illumination under typical usage.
Are LED lights compatible with my old dimmer switches?
LED lights generally require LED-compatible dimmers to function properly without flickering.
Are your products in stock at the Brampton location?
The vast majority of products shown on our website are stocked locally at our Brampton warehouse for immediate pickup or fast shipping.

Is Safer Lighting an ESA licensed contractor?
Safer Lighting is the retail and wholesale division. Our sister company, Safer Electric Inc., is a fully licensed electrical contractor under ESA Licence #7008996.
Do you offer installation services?
Yes, through our sister company Safer Electric Inc. (ESA Licence #7008996), we provide professional electrical and lighting installation services across the GTA.
Can you help me figure out how many lights I need for my space?
Yes, our experienced team can provide lighting layout recommendations and photometric calculations for commercial and industrial spaces to ensure optimal illumination.
