Available Programs

Save on Energy (IESO)

Commercial and industrial customers may qualify for instant point-of-sale discounts on LED panels and high bays through Ontario's Save on Energy program. Rebates of $20-$120 per fixture are common.

Canada Greener Homes Grant

Homeowners can receive grants of up to $5,000 for eligible energy-efficient home improvements, including lighting upgrades as part of a broader energy retrofit.

Commercial Property Incentives

Property owners and managers upgrading commercial spaces may qualify for additional municipal and provincial incentive programs. Contact us for current availability in your area.

Get Your LED Upgrades for Less

Ontario businesses can access government-backed instant discounts and pay-for-performance incentives on energy-efficient LED lighting through Save on Energy (IESO). Choose between instant point-of-sale discounts or the annual EPP incentive to best fund your energy-efficient upgrade.

Instant Discounts Program

Save on Energy (IESO) — Supported by Government of Ontario

Upfront, point-of-sale discounts on eligible lighting: LED tubes, troffers, high bay and low bay fixtures, downlights, and lighting controls. For retrofits of existing commercial, agricultural, industrial, institutional, and multi-unit residential buildings in Ontario.

Up to $80 Per unit on qualifying LED high bay fixtures
Up to $30 Per unit on lighting controls
No Paperwork Discount applied by the distributor at purchase

Safer Lighting is a participating distributor. Discounts vary by product. Products must be installed within 90 days of purchase; new construction is not eligible.

Energy Performance Program (EPP)

Save on Energy (IESO) — Pay-for-Performance Incentive

Earn pay-for-performance incentives over three consecutive years on the electricity savings delivered by your LED upgrades and behavioural / operational changes. Designed for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities that want to compound capital project savings with year-over-year operational improvements.

$0.30 / kWh Summer peak savings (Jun 1 – Sep 30, business days 3–9 PM EDT)
$0.08 / kWh Non-summer peak electricity savings
3 Years Annual pay-for-performance incentives per facility
5% Minimum Energy savings per facility within two years

Rates apply to enrolments on or after January 1, 2025. Applications must be approved by December 31, 2027. Requires 12 months of hourly interval meter data per facility. Enrol at info@energyperformanceprogram.ca or call 1-888-852-2440.
